Small business tax filing?

Thank author of this post/commentI have a normal office job and my wife owns a small business. This is the first year she got some income. What would be the best tax filing method? For my income portion, I file 'joint', which is the same or similar as previous years. What should my wife portion be filed? Should she files tax return with her own social security number (what she is using currently)? Any program can help to do this? Any advise will be highly appreciated. Her business income this year is about $5000.

I am not in a right position to answer this forum question. However, I found this site from the Department of the Treasury which offers a virtual tax workshop for small business owners. Hope your question can be answered when you go through this workshop online. If not, maybe you can ask a lawyer to satisfactorily answer your query.

I am not a businessman like you, but I will try to share this link to you so you can check how to file tax for your small business. I appreciate that you tried to reach answers through the internet, but as for me, I think it will be helpful if you also seek assistance to a lawyer who can provide you legal processes in doing so. Good luck to you.

In dealing with business, it’s important to file your tax to avoid hassle. Moreover, important files must be secured for future use. I suggest you consult an expert regarding your concern. There are many rules and regulation regarding tax payment. If you’re not fully aware of those conditions, it's better to ask assistance from the authority. I'm sure that they will lend a hand to help you. Have a nice day ahead.

Hi there!

I have a small business that I am not really up to, but upon reading this blog. Well, is it really necessary to have your little, minute business top with taxes? Well, I am not really earning a lot in this business so I believe I am not to pay any taxes at all.

Thanks you so much to all of you guys and have a great day to all!
